tr['ɑːr'es'siː]N ABBR(Brit) = Royal Shakespeare Company RSC - ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY La Royal Shakespeare Company o RSC es una compañía de teatro británica fundada en 1960 en Stratford-Upon-Avon, el lugar de nacimiento de William Shakespeare. Además de esta sede, la compañía cuenta en la actualidad con otro teatro en el complejo Barbican de Londres y, aunque están especializados en la representación de obras de Shakespeare, también ponen en escena obras de otros dramaturgos clásicos y contemporáneos. En los últimos años la RSC ha dedicado la mitad del año a hacer giras por todo el Reino Unido, lo que ha acrecentado aún más su popularidad, con la que ya contaba dada la fama internacional que han alcanzado sus representaciones.
